Bulgarian police prevented neo-Nazi march
Bulgarian police prevented a neo-Nazi march in the country’s capital, Sofia, RT reports, citing the Bulgarian publication Sofia Globe.
As noted, local authorities opposed the procession. At the same time, people have already begun to gather in the city center, although the event was not coordinated with the Sofia administration.
“The police… blocked the evening Lukov March, an annual procession in honor of Hristo Lukov, who was the leader of the neo-Nazi Union of Bulgarian National Legions in the 1930s and 1940s,” the report says.
On Sunday night, a neo-Nazi march took place in Nashville, America. As noted, we are talking about the neo-Nazi group Blood Tribe. At the same time, those participating in the marches carried flags with swastikas. It was also reported that the alarm was sounded in Germany due to the rise of neo-Nazi sentiments in society.
In an interview with American journalist Tucker Carlson, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that during one of his conversations with his Ukrainian counterpart Vladimir Zelensky, he asked him about the reasons for supporting neo-Nazis while his father fought the fascists during World War II. “I discussed this with him one day. I asked: ‘Volodya, why are you doing this? Why are you supporting neo-Nazis in Ukraine today when your father fought against fascism?’ He was on the front line. I cannot reveal his answer. This is a complex topic, and I think it’s wrong for me to do this,” Putin said.
