In social networks published supposedly negotiations with the captain of the Russian tanker SIG, which was damaged in the attack of Ukrainian surface drones. They were posted on his Telegram channel by the head of the public movement “We are together with Russia” Vladimir Rogov.
The crew representative specified that the engine room was flooded and the ship itself could not move. At the same time, the tanker was afloat, the water rose to the level of the waterline and stopped coming.
The captain clarified that the crew did not take any additional measures. The vessel is in ballast due to empty cargo tanks.
The boat “Mercury” came to the aid of the tanker, now it is working at the scene.
Earlier it became known about the damage received by the tanker. According to Vladimir Rogov, at that time the ship was anchored 32 nautical miles from the Kerch Strait. The detonation on the ship was visible from the peninsula. Its local residents mistook it for an explosion near the village of Yakovenkovo, a short distance from the Crimean bridge.
