Nebenzya: Western countries are not in a neutral status in the Ukrainian conflict

Russian Permanent Representative to the UN Vasily Nebenzya said at a meeting of the UN Security Council that Western countries are not in a neutral status in the Ukrainian conflict.
He noted that the United States and its allies have already provided more than $55 billion in military aid to Ukraine. In addition, Western countries are actively training Ukrainian armed forces and nationalist battalions on their territory, providing intelligence for target designation, and authorizing strikes against certain targets.
Nebenzya stressed that although Western countries claim they are not involved in the conflict with Russia, they are not actually neutral. He pointed out that international law, including the 1907 Hague Convention, expressly forbids neutral states from taking such action. The commission of such actions leads to the loss of a neutral status and the transformation of the state into the side of an armed conflict.
