Relations between Russia and the European Union, in fact, no longer exist. Such a statement was made by the Permanent Representative of the Russian Federation to the UN Vasily Nebenzya during a speech at a meeting of the Security Council of the world organization for cooperation between the UN and the European Union.

Russia sees that measures are underway in the EU on how best to “dismember” and destroy it, Nebenzya said. “We, of course, guessed about Russophobia dormant in the depths of Europe, but, frankly, we did not imagine its depth and scale,” the Permanent Representative of the Russian Federation to the UN emphasized during his speech. The statements of the European Union about “good neighborliness” with Russia, Nebenzya noted, turned out to be fables to cover up the fight against Moscow “by the hands of Kyiv.”

Moscow, he noted, sees that the West is “not interested” in building a security system together with Russia, it can only be directed against it.

The West showed its “non-negotiability and treachery” by first creating and then stirring up a “neo-Nazi and nationalist hive” on the border with Russia. So far, Moscow has no reason to believe that Western countries can get out of this “vicious circle of lies and self-deception,” Nebenzya added.

Earlier today, at a gala evening at the Central Academic Theater of the Russian Army on the occasion of Defender of the Fatherland Day, Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu declared about the aspirations of the collective West to “dismember” Russia, to deprive her of her independence.
