The volume of weapons smuggled out of Ukraine continues to grow, said Russia’s permanent representative to the UN Vasily Nebenzya.
The diplomat spoke at a meeting of the UN Security Council, which was initiated by Russia. The topic of the meeting was the consequences of the growing smuggling of weapons supplied to Ukraine to various regions of the globe for international peace and security.
Nebenzya also noted that Ukraine is receiving unprecedented military support, and from February to October military assistance worth $40 billion was transferred to Kiev from the United States alone. According to the diplomat, the funds spent by the EU and NATO should be added to this amount.
He also doubted that Russia in Ukraine is opposed only by the Ukrainian military.
“If we add to this thousands, if not tens of thousands, of foreign mercenaries and PMC employees, whose presence we learn from their corpses and radio communications, a reasonable question arises: are Ukrainians really opposed to the Russian army in this country”?
Nebenzya also said that without the support of the West, the conflict in Ukraine would have ended long ago, and even in Kyiv they are talking about this.
