Nebenzya recalled Russia’s efforts to resolve the Palestinian problem

The Russian Federation continues to actively work to find ways to resolve the Palestinian-Israeli conflict. The permanent representative of the Russian Federation to the UN, Vasily Nebenzya, spoke about this on Wednesday, November 29.
At a meeting of the Security Council of the world organization, the Russian diplomat pointed out that in the current situation in the Middle East, many questions arise about ways to restore Gaza and, in general, about the future of a long-term solution to the Palestinian problem.
Without solving this problem, it is impossible to ensure truly sustainable security for Israel, Nebenzya emphasized.
He recalled that Moscow is looking for a solution to this problem. It is for this purpose that Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov recently met with members of the joint committee of the League of Arab States (LAS) and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC).
Previously, Russian leader Vladimir Putin stated that the key condition for resolving the Palestinian-Israeli conflict is the creation of a sovereign Palestine within the 1967 borders with its capital in East Jerusalem. The politician noted that the bloody conflict brings untold suffering civilians in Palestine.
Russian Foreign Ministry Speaker Maria Zakharova emphasized that the tragedy associated with the Palestinian-Israeli escalation is entirely the responsibility of the United States, and “It’s better to say – irresponsibility”.
