Nebenzya: ICC activity has nothing to do with justice

Russian Permanent Representative to the UN Vasily Nebenzya criticized the activities of the International Criminal Court (ICC) at a briefing on Monday.
He recalled that the ICC had full jurisdiction over the crimes of Western countries in Iraq, but did nothing to bring the perpetrators to justice.
“This was the result of the innovative policy of the new ICC prosecutor Karim Khan,” Nebenzya stressed, adding that investigations into various crimes involving the West were curtailed.
“This step perfectly illustrates the true priorities of the ICC, which have nothing to do with justice,” the Russian diplomat concluded.
