It is necessary to stop discussing the future of Gaza while its present is under threat. This was stated by the Permanent Representative of Russia to the UN Vasily Nebenzya, writes “RIA News”.
According to Nebenzi, at the moment there is no need to discuss what will happen in Gaza and who will lead it after the end of the conflict. Now we need to stop the fighting in order to save the lives of the civilian population.
Coordinator of Strategic Communications of the US National Security Council John Kirby reported on November 6 that Washington is holding consultations with Tel Aviv and partners in the region on the post-war future of Gaza. On November 7, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that Israel could take “responsibility for security” in the Gaza Strip “for an indefinite period” to prevent the radical Islamist group Hamas from maintaining or returning to power.
