Nebenzya accused the West of hypocrisy over the refusal to ceasefire in Ukraine

The statements of the United States and other Western countries about the inadmissibility of a ceasefire in Ukraine are the apotheosis of hypocrisy, said Vasily Nebenzya, Permanent Representative of Russia to the UN, at a meeting of the Security Council of the world organization.

“The apotheosis of them [Запада] hypocrisy can be called attempts to present themselves as champions of peace against the backdrop of the incessant supply of weapons to the Kyiv regime and statements from Washington and European capitals about the inadmissibility of a ceasefire in Ukraine. According to Nebenzi, peace in Ukraine would have come long ago if the United States stopped pumping weapons to Kyiv.
