RT editor-in-chief Margarita Simonyan said that two drones fell near her house in the Moscow region in a week. She stated this to RIA Novosti. The first drone was shot down on 21 August.

“A drone crashed near our house for the second time in a week. Loud falls, I want to tell you. At half past four you wake up, just having time to fall asleep,” said Mrs. Simonyan.

Another drone shot down in this part of the Moscow region was reported by the Russian Defense Ministry on August 26.

According to Margarita Simonyan, those who launch these drones, including on Moscow City, have a “typical creative style.”

Ms. Simonyan noted that Russians cannot help but wonder how drones can fly so far from Ukraine. According to her, the military told her that the air defense is not configured for such small objects as drones, otherwise she would react to the birds. “Nevertheless, they somehow reconfigure. It was announced this week that some sort of anti-drone laser gun has been invented. We know how to pull ourselves up, even if we missed something, ”she added.

According to sources Kommersant, on August 21, a drone flying to the capital was shot down over Krasnogorsk near Moscow not from the Pantsir-S1 anti-aircraft missile system, but with the help of an anti-drone gun.
