At the ski stadium named after V.S. Kuzina, in the village of Malye Karely, the sports event “Ski Track for Recruits” took place for the ninth time. Its participants were academic migrants – students of Northern (Arctic) Federal University and Saratov State Medical University. This was reported by the press service of the Arctic University.
On this day, representatives of Afghanistan, Nigeria, Indonesia, India, Morocco, Mali, Cameroon and other countries tried skiing for the first time in their lives.
At first it was quite difficult for them. But thanks to the trainers, who were community activists from the village of Bobrovo, Primorsky District, the guys learned to stand on skis, and then move on them.
After the first ski lessons, a tea party with northern pies was organized for the students, and souvenirs were presented, in particular, Bobrovsk knitters presented northern mittens.
Thanks to the project, foreigners were able to learn more about the popular sport in the North and make new friends.
