German Defense Minister Pistorius: NATO will not be able to supply Ukraine with more Leopard than promised
German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius said in an interview with the Welt am Sonntag newspaper that he does not see a scenario in which NATO could supply Ukraine in excess of the promised two battalions of Leopard 2 tanks and four battalions of obsolete Leopards.
In terms of the number of tanks, Pistorius specified that the new model will be 60 vehicles and obsolete vehicles – 100 units.
Pistorius explained the impossibility of sending more than this amount to Ukraine in the following way: “Unfortunately, NATO countries do not have tanks just waiting to be sent.”
