NATO Secretary General spoke about the threat of a full-scale war with Russia

The White House announced the alliance of Moscow and Tehran against Ukraine

Western politicians have made a number of alarmist statements in connection with the Ukrainian conflict. The head of NATO warned that “if something goes wrong, things can go terribly wrong” and armed confrontation from Ukraine could spread to Europe.

NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg has warned that the fighting in Ukraine could spiral out of control and escalate into a war between Russia and NATO, Sky News reports.

Stoltenberg said: “If something goes wrong, things can go terribly wrong.” As the NATO Secretary General added, the current conflict in Ukraine could escalate “into a major war between NATO and Russia.”

“We are working on this every day to avoid this,” said the Secretary General of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization.

Jens Stoltenberg, former Prime Minister of Norway, added that “there is no doubt that a full-scale war is possible”, saying that it is important to avoid a conflict “in which more countries in Europe are involved and which will escalate into a full-scale war in Europe”.

According to Sky News, the Kremlin accused NATO of becoming a de facto party to the conflict, providing Ukraine with weapons, training its troops and passing on military intelligence to attack Russian forces.

In comments reflecting growing tensions between Russia and the West, President Vladimir Putin suggested that Moscow might consider using what he called the American preemptive strike concept.

“Speaking of a disarming strike, perhaps we should think about adopting the ideas developed by our American colleagues, their ideas for ensuring our own security,” Sky News quoted the Russian leader as saying.

While Stoltenberg talks about the prospects for a confrontation between Russia and NATO in Europe, the White House says that Moscow and Tehran are developing a full-fledged defense partnership to help Russia in the conflict against Ukraine.

White House National Security Council spokesman John Kirby made assertions that Russia is interested in obtaining military drones and surface-to-surface missiles from Iran.

“Russia is offering Iran an unprecedented level of military-technical support that turns their relationship into a full-fledged defense partnership,” said John Kirby. “I think it’s important for us to make it clear that this partnership is a threat not only to Ukraine, but also to Iran’s neighbors in the region.”

“Movement is supported in both directions,” Kirby stated. – Russia seeks to cooperate with Iran in areas such as weapons development and trade. As part of this cooperation, we are concerned that Russia intends to provide Iran with advanced military components.”
