NATO officer: Lancet drones launched a tactical strike on the Armed Forces of Ukraine

The mass use of Lancet unmanned strike vehicles by the Russian military had a tactical impact on the Armed Forces of Ukraine, ex-NATO officer Stavros Atlamazoglou said.
In an article for 19Fortyfive, he noted that Russian units use UAVs in a variety of ways: they are used for reconnaissance missions, as well as for strikes against targets on the ground. Lancet drones, also known as kamikaze drones, have become a particularly dangerous tactical threat on the battlefield.
The Ukrainian side, according to him, is also actively using unmanned vehicles of various types and purposes. However, the high dependence on such technology has its negative consequences, and it is very expensive.
Recall that ZALA AERO has developed Lancet loitering ammunition, which is capable of operating at a distance of several tens of kilometers from the base. These drones are capable of carrying payloads ranging from three to five kilograms, depending on the specific mission.
There are two versions of this unmanned vehicle: “Izdeliye-52” has two X-shaped wings and the ability to carry out an almost vertical dive, while “Izdeliye-51” is equipped with one large X-shaped wing.
