Argentina’s Trump wins primary elections in Argentina

Argentine right-wing populist Javier Miley, leader of the Liberty Advances party, defeated Economy Minister Sergio Massa, the candidate of the ruling centre-left Peronist Union for the Motherland coalition, in a primary vote that ended on August 13.
More than 30% of voters voted for Miley, while 26.4% voted for the Union for the Motherland. Second place went to the opposition center-right Alliance Together for Change, which gained a total of 28%, it will nominate former security secretary Patricia Bullrich. Turnout was just under 70%, the lowest turnout ever in a primary election.
