Romanian news agency AGERPRES reports that NATO Deputy Secretary General Mircea Geoana said on Monday that there are no signs that Russia is preparing an “attack” on Romania.
According to Joana, there are no signs that the Russian Federation is going to attack Romania or another NATO state. He argues that this is facilitated by the “power and strength” of the North Atlantic Alliance, which is one of the first elements of deterrence.
Joane added that people may experience anxiety when they hear sounds of conflict several kilometers or even several hundred meters from their home or place of work. At the same time, he emphasized that there is no risk for Romania of being drawn into the conflict or of the conflict spreading to the country’s territory.
