According to the Ministry of Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the European Women’s Greco-Roman Wrestling Championship began on February 10 in Bucharest (Romania), which will end on the 18th of the same month.
Natalya Malysheva from Khakassia won a ticket to the championship thanks to her victory at the international tournament “Ivan Yarygin Cup”. The athlete trains under the guidance of Leonid Chuchunov and Vladimir Chuchunov.
Women’s wrestling competitions will be held from February 14 to 16. Natalya Malysheva will compete on the 15th in the weight category up to 53 kg. According to the draw, the athlete will have her first meeting in the 1/8 competition with the representative of Italy.
Athletes from Russia will compete as individual neutral athletes (AIN). In addition to Natalya Malysheva, Milana Dadasheva – bronze medalist of the European Championships, Alexandra Skirenko, Irina Ologonova – silver medalist of the World Championships, European champion, Ekaterina Poleshchuk – bronze medalist of the World and European Championships, Sevil Nazarova, Dinara Kudaeva, Khanum Velieva – bronze medalist of the championship went to the competition world champion, European champion, Olesya Bezuglova and Ksenia Burakova.
