NASA releases new photos of Jupiter from James Webb Space Telescope

The James Webb telescope sent back new images of Jupiter with a high level of detail. In the photo posted on the NASA website, you can see the auroras, fogs and storms on the surface of the planet. Since the telescope is looking at the universe in infrared light that is invisible to humans, the colors in these images are transformed using filters. Jupiter’s Great Red Spot is a giant storm capable of engulfing the Earth, and appears white in the image because it reflects a lot of sunlight.
