NASA estimates the cost of decommissioning the ISS

Decommissioning the International Space Station, according to NASA, would cost almost a billion dollars.
The proposed decommissioning option assumes that the station will burn up almost completely in the Earth’s atmosphere, and the remaining debris will fall into the Pacific Ocean.
The ISS may be decommissioned by 2030, but NASA has already stated that they do not see a strict need for this and are ready to continue to participate in the work of the station.
