NASA: Ingenuity helicopter terminated its mission to Mars due to a breakdown

The press service of the Jet Propulsion Laboratory of the US National Aeronautics and Space Administration released a message that states the termination of the Ingenuity helicopter mission on Mars.

NASA specialists clarified that this decision was made due to the breakdown of the device – it can no longer fly.

“Ingenuity has ended its mission on the red planet, having exceeded expectations and completed dozens more flights than planned… It is in an upright position, and controllers on Earth are in contact with it, but images of its flight… indicate that one or several of its blades were damaged during landing,” the agency clarified.
