The year 2023 has officially been recognized as the hottest year in the history of relevant measurements and observations, TASS reports, citing a distributed press release from the US National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA).
The report states that for 2023, the planet’s surface temperature averaged 1.2 degrees Celsius. The highest temperatures were recorded in July, when the average surface temperature of the planet reached 1.4 degrees Celsius.
At the same time, during the last seven months of 2023, the maximum temperature indicators in the history of measurements were recorded. Official measurements began to be taken in 1880.
