Turkmen President Serdar Berdimuhamedov will arrive in the Russian capital for the Victory Parade, which will take place on Red Square, shortly before it starts. This was announced on Monday, May 8, by a diplomatic source.
According to the TASS interlocutor, Berdimuhamedov accepted the invitation he received to attend the Victory Parade in Moscow. Unlike some leaders of the CIS countries, who arrived in the Russian capital in advance, the President of Turkmenistan will arrive by the morning of May 9.
Earlier it was reported that the Presidents of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko, Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov, Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon and Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, as well as Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, will attend the Victory Parade on Red Square.
Russian leader Vladimir Putin has already held talks with a colleague from Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoev and with the President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Zhaparov.
Press Secretary of the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Peskov said that foreign guests will be during the parade be on the podium with Vladimir Putin, then they will lay wreaths at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. An informal breakfast is then planned.
