Kuban, Abkhazia and Crimea named the most popular destinations for Russians in July

Russian tourists in July of this year prefer the Krasnodar Territory, Abkhazia and Crimea for recreation. The Association of Tour Operators of Russia (ATOR) shared the relevant data.

So, in terms of the number of booked tours, the Krasnodar Territory took the first place. On the second line is Abkhazia, which is also classified as a zone of domestic tourism. The third most popular was Crimea – despite a slight decrease compared to 2022.

According to Sergey Romashkin, vice-president of ATOR for domestic tourism, general director of the Dolphin tour operator, at the moment 40% of bookings fall on the Krasnodar Territory. Another 10-15% is occupied by Abkhazia, and 5-7% falls on the Crimea.

In addition, Romashkin noted that in the category of excursion and city destinations, St. Petersburg occupies the first place, collecting approximately 50% of tours. Moscow is next with 40%, and Kazan closes the top three with about 10%.
