It was secured and equipped with help points

When trouble comes, Donetsk residents are always ready to help their compatriots. As you know, the Crimean bridge was damaged as a result of an attack by Ukrainian surface drones. And all transport, with the exception of scheduled and freight, was sent along the path that runs through the liberated territories of the DPR.

And while the motorists who ended up on the Crimean bridge were assisted by volunteers, the DPR authorities were faced with the task of ensuring safe and unhindered traffic along the highway leading to Crimea by land as soon as possible.

Now everyone who wants to get to the peninsula will have to make their way first through the territory of the Donetsk People’s Republic, then through the Kherson and Zaporozhye regions.

What difficulties may motorists face by choosing this path?

Yes, in fact, with nothing serious.

On the very first day in the DPR, help centers for doctors and rescuers of the Ministry of Emergency Situations were organized. Everyone can now stay there for the night on the way to the Crimea. Also, according to the head of administration of the Novoazovsky district Vasily Ovcharov, travelers will be provided with water and hot meals. On the territory of one of the points, tents were set up, toilets with air conditioners were installed.

Traffic police and the Ministry of Emergency Situations are on duty around the clock on the highway to quickly respond to accidents or help people in difficult situations.

For motorists, a small memo has even appeared on the social networks of the local republican segment on how to comfortably get to the peninsula. According to the instructions from those who have overcome the path by land, motorists need to: remember that they are waiting for the border crossing through Dzhankoy to Melitopol, stock up on cash and drinking water, do not stop, if possible, in unequipped places. Don’t panic – there are gas stations on the way every 50-100 kilometers. Many of them accept card payments.

Present documents and, if necessary, things for inspection at the checkpoint, download maps offline, because not everywhere there will be a good Internet connection. To avoid the risk of getting into an accident – do not drive at night, do not enter fields and forests.

Help can be asked from the military and police.

Enjoy the smooth road.

For Donetsk residents who want to go to Crimea by bus, daily flights are organized. Tickets can be ordered in advance or purchased directly at the box office of the Southern Bus Station. The cost is slightly more expensive than tickets to the Crimea across the bridge – 2,800 rubles. Buses depart at 9:45. Arrival in Simferopol – approximately at 6-7 am the next day.

Perhaps residents of other regions of Russia are afraid of the prospect of getting to rest by circuitous routes, and even in close proximity to the front. However, Donetsk residents are in no hurry to refuse booked tickets, they are quite satisfied with the shortened several times the way to the peninsula, which previously took about 15-16 hours, and now only 5-6. Moreover, the inhabitants of the republic, like no one else, know all the tricks of safe passage through the liberated territories, despite the mined roadsides and shelling.
