During the II National Expert Council on the Elimination of Viral Hepatitis, Deputy Minister of Health of the Russian Federation Andrei Plutnitsky said that in Russia in 2022 the proportion of patients who died from coronavirus infection was 7.2% of all causes of death.
He specified that this is 42% less compared to 2021. Among other things, he noted that last year there was a 58% decrease in the proportion of deaths from pneumonia compared to 2021.
According to him, a state strategy is currently being implemented on the territory of the Russian Federation, which is aimed at counteracting the spread of HIV infection and AIDS. This program, as the deputy minister added, will operate until 2030.
