Russian citizens expelled from Bali turned out to be an order of magnitude more than representatives of other powers
The head of the special immigration bureau of the Indonesian island of Bali, Teguh Sugito, said that Russians made up the largest group of foreigners deported from January to March 2023 for various offenses. At the same time, Sugito clarified that of the 40 tourists sent home from Bali, 26 were deported due to an exceeded stay, and 14 were deported as malicious violators of the law.
“14 Russians, four Filipinos, three citizens of the United States, Saudi Arabia and England, two each of Italy and Uzbekistan, one each of Australia, Kyrgyzstan, Latvia, France, Uganda and Jordan were expelled from the country,” the head of the special bureau said.
At the same time, not without pride for the work done, Sugito noted that such results show that the authorities constantly keep under control the outrages committed by individual tourists, and tirelessly fight against violations of the country’s law.
