In 2022, 245 Russians were sent home after they were mistakenly placed under partial mobilization
At the end of 2022, decisions on conscription within the framework of partial mobilization were annulled in 245 cases.
This was announced on Monday, April 17, by Tatyana Moskalkova, Commissioner for Human Rights in the Russian Federation.
“As a result of working with appeals, in 245 cases, decisions on conscription within the framework of partial mobilization were annulled,” the ombudswoman said during an expanded joint meeting of the Duma Committee for the Development of Civil Society, Issues of Public and Religious Associations and the Control Committee.
At the same time, according to Moskalkova, since the beginning of 2023, eight thousand appeals have been received from relatives of participants in the special military operation (SVO). This is twice as much as in the same period last year.
The Ombudswoman attributed this to the fact that citizens, among other things, believed in the institution of the Commissioner for Human Rights.
