Almost 90% of workers in Russia started their careers in the service sector. This was shown by an AZIMUT Hotels survey among young people, the results of which are presented by “Gazeta.Ru”.
The purpose of the study was to find out the opinion of novice specialists regarding promising starting positions and identify areas for growth.
42% of respondents, according to the data received, want to start a career in the restaurant business or delivery service. 22% consider the areas of SMM and IT. Every tenth is aimed at the hotel business. And for 26%, the main thing in choosing is the prospect of growth.
Working in a large company, even in a low position, according to the majority of respondents, brings invaluable experience. Thus, 31% of respondents are set on acquiring new skills, 24% believe in growth through training and bonuses, 18% are ready to simply gain knowledge about the organization of the structure of the corporation in which they got a job.
The absolute majority – 87% – can name among their successful acquaintances those who started their careers as a refueling, courier, in the hotel business, etc. The survey concluded that young people are not afraid to get their first experience in the service and hospitality industry.
