Most people eat ultra-processed foods, such as frozen pizza, as ready-to-eat meals make a hectic life much easier. People are increasingly consuming hot dogs, sausages, hamburgers, french fries, sodas, liver, cakes, candies, donuts and ice cream
A new study has shown that if more than 20% of your daily calorie intake comes from ultra-processed foods, you may be at increased risk of cognitive decline.
This would equate to approximately 400 calories per day on a 2,000 calorie per day diet. In comparison, a small serving of french fries and a regular McDonald’s cheeseburger contains only 530 calories.
Conducted research on International Conference of the Alzheimer’s Association 2022 year in San Diego reached over 10,000 Brazilians within 10 years. Just over half of the participants in the study were female, white, or college educated, and the median age was 51.
