Scientists from the USA spoke about the benefits of grapes for the health of the intestinal microbiome
Scientists from the American University of Western New England found that grapes have a positive effect on the human microbiome – the collection of microorganisms in the body. The journal Scientific Reports writes about it.
The gut microbiome is made up of billions of microorganisms that affect the human condition. Scientists examined the composition of the microbiome of study participants who ate more than two cups of grapes per day. Urine and plasma metabolites were also tested.
As a result, it turned out that grapes actively affect the intestinal microbiome. It causes shifts in complex interacting networks and can alter the chemicals produced by the gut.
