Anna Kalashnikova has returned from a military hospital where soldiers wounded during the NMD are recovering. The singer admitted to “MK”: she experienced a real shock from the stories of the guys and now she wants to go to the front line herself.
– I was very worried before the trip, because I was worried about the emotional state of our guys, – says Anna. – I asked: “What is the best way to dress? Perhaps you need to be more restrained? They told me it didn’t matter. I thought that I should choose a bright outfit to keep the morale of the guys up.
“When I arrived at the hospital, of course, I was shocked by what I saw,” Anna continues. “There are some very young guys there. Many of them have limb injuries. Hands, legs suffer – these are the most unprotected parts of the body. My heart bled as I listened to their stories. The boys are risking their lives to keep us safe. Despite the injuries, the mood of all the guys, without exception, is fighting. None of them are discouraged. Vice versa! Everyone with whom I spoke immediately after being discharged is again going to the front.
– It is necessary to fight with the enemy, so that it is not ashamed in front of our grandfathers, – one of the fighters told me.
The guys received Kalashnikova’s performance very warmly. And Anna herself could not hold back her tears.
– Our military is the most grateful audience, – continues Anna. – So warmly received. I even felt deeply. I realized that they really need our support. Now I will encourage all my artist friends to visit the guys as often as possible. And I myself really want to go to Donetsk to support those fighters who are on the front line.
