Responding to a user’s report that WhatsApp used the microphone several times while he was sleeping, Musk tweeted, “WhatsApp cannot be trusted.”

The entrepreneur also stressed on his page that it is better to “trust nothing”.
At the end of December last year, the head of the Russian state, Vladimir Putin, signed a law that, from March 1, 2023, limits the use of foreign instant messengers in the provision of public services and in the sale of goods and services by state enterprises, banks to the population. This list also includes the WhatsApp messenger.
