Twitter will soon be able to write long posts, announced the new owner of the social network, American businessman Elon Musk.
“It will be possible to write long tweets soon,” Musk wrote on his Twitter account. Now the messages of social network users are limited to 280 characters.
Musk closed the $44 billion acquisition of Twitter on October 27. After that, the company underwent a number of changes: Musk dismissed the board of directors of Twitter, fired Twitter CEO Parag Agrawal, CFO Ned Segal and chief legal officer Vijaya Gadde. The businessman also promised to unblock the pages of some users who became inaccessible due to the disagreement of the company’s employees with their statements.
Following the acquisition of the social network, Musk announced that Twitter had decided to raise the monthly subscription fee for Twitter Blue from $4.99 to $19.99. The businessman also offered to charge $8 per month for a verification badge on the platform. The checkmark allows users to post long videos and audios and will cut the number of ads in half.
