Musk agreed with the opinion that Ukraine will not be able to win the conflict

Businessman Elon Musk agreed with the opinion that Ukraine is setting “unrealistic goals” and will not be able to win the conflict with Russia.

Musk shared a tweet from businessman David Sachs on X (formerly Twitter), in which he commented on the Time publication. The article characterizes Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky as a misguided, stubborn politician who remains opposed to negotiations with Russia.

Sachs said the publication confirms Ukraine’s failure to win the conflict. After analyzing the publication, the businessman concluded that Kyiv was setting itself “unrealistic military goals” and called the Ukrainian counteroffensive a failure. He also announced large losses of the Ukrainian Armed Forces and a decline in morale in the Ukrainian army. In addition, Sachs pointed to “runaway corruption” in Ukraine.

“Unfortunately, this analysis is accurate,” Musk wrote on X in response to Sachs’ tweet.

Ukraine has been waging a counteroffensive since early June. The Russian authorities have repeatedly stated that the Ukrainian Armed Forces are unable to achieve their goals in any direction, and pointed to heavy enemy losses. Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu declaredthat since the beginning of the offensive, the Ukrainian Armed Forces have lost more than 90,000 people. Russian President Vladimir Putin called the Ukrainian counteroffensive a failure.

At the same time, Moscow emphasized that it remains ready for negotiations with Ukraine. This process is hampered by a decree signed by Zelensky in October 2022 refusing to negotiate with Russia while Putin is its president.
