Muscular men and women gathered at the Karelia Bodybuilding Championship

The festival of beauty and aesthetics, which took place on September 24, will be remembered by the inhabitants of Karelia for a long time. For the first time, the Open Championship of the Republic in bodybuilding and fitness was organized at the Kondopoga Palace of Arts. An unexpected surprise was prepared for the audience: the anthem of Russia and Karelia was performed on the organ.

Nadezhda Emelyanova, President of the Federation of Bodybuilding and Fitness of Karelia, told our publication why it was decided to move the competition from Petrozavodsk to Kondopoga this year.

“Firstly, there has never been a bodybuilding championship in Kondopoga. Secondly, we are a regional federation, so we must hold competitions in all regions of our republic. This time we chose Kondopoga. Perhaps next time it will be Sortavala, Kostomuksha, or, again, Petrozavodsk,” Emelyanova explained.

Despite certain difficulties, the organizers managed to cope and gather 58 participants from Karelia, Moscow, St. Petersburg, Murmansk, Arkhangelsk at the sporting event.

Bodybuilders competed in several categories: athletic, beach bodybuilding, fitness bikini, fit model, classic bodybuilding, athletic bodybuilding, bodyfitness, wellness fitness.
