The weather forecaster gave recommendations on the date of changing winter tires to summer tires in the Central Federal District
Those living in Moscow, the Moscow region and other regions of the northern part of the Central Federal District should start replacing winter tires with summer tires towards the end of April, said Alexander Shuvalov, head of the Meteo forecast center.
In an interview with Gazeta.Ru, he noted that in some cities of the Central Federal District it is possible to “change” a car now. He named Voronezh as an example. The weather forecaster recommended addressing this issue on the 20th of April, noting that until then the weather forecast was unfavorable.
“In this regard, I recommend that motorists who live north of Voronezh postpone changing tires. This also applies to Muscovites,” he said.
The expert also noted that those planning a trip from the southern to the more northern regions of the Central Federal District should not rush to change from winter to summer tires.
