Vilfand: next week there will be a “very mild winter” with temperatures down to minus 5 degrees
The scientific director of the Hydrometeorological Center of Russia, Roman Vilfand, believes that the Russian capital will experience a “very mild winter” next week with temperatures down to minus 5 degrees and precipitation in the form of snow and sleet.
“Weather changes will begin tomorrow,” predicts Vilfand. The temperature will still be 2-4 degrees above normal. “This cannot be called a cold snap,” says the weather forecaster. “But the temperature will drop.” “The whole next week is a very mild winter,” he said.
As for the air temperature, at night it ranges from minus 5 to minus 3 degrees, and during the day from minus 3 to zero.
In addition, throughout the next week, due to the fact that the pressure will be 12-18 mmHg below normal, “gloomy weather with snow, sometimes with sleet” will be established in Moscow. “But still, it’s not rain,” the meteorologist reassured. “He created a lot of discomfort.”
