Muscovites to choose colors of three metro lines under construction – Kommersant

Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin suggested that citizens choose the colors that will be used to mark the three metro lines under construction on the map. We are talking about the Troitskaya, Rublyovo-Arkhangelskaya and Biryulyovskaya lines, according to blog mayor.
There are four combinations of colors and shades to choose from:
- lilac, lavender, sand;
- emerald, graphite, ruby;
- olive, lilac, copper;
- lilac, graphite, sand.
The Troitskaya line (No. 16) will run from the ZIL station to the city of Troitsk, its length will be about 40 km.
The Rublevo-Arkhangelskaya line (No. 17), about 19 km long, will connect the Moscow City business center with the northwestern regions inside and beyond the Moscow Ring Road. The length of the Biryulyovskaya line (No. 18) will be 21 km, it is intended for residents of the Danilovsky, Nagatinsky Zaton, Pechatniki, Moskvorechye-Saburovo, Tsaritsyno, Biryulyovo East and West districts.
March 1 in Moscow launched the final section of the Big Circle Line (BKL) of the subway, which was built over ten years. The last nine stations were put into operation, in particular Maryina Roscha, Nagatinsky Zaton, Sokolniki, Kashirskaya and Varshavskaya. In total, the BCL united 31 stations, the total length of the new line is 70 km, this is the world’s largest underground metro ring. In the same month, an accident occurred at the BKL, which led to a two-hour traffic stop at one of the sections.
