Muscovites invited to PSYFEST 2022: autumn escalation

From November 18 to 20, Moscow will host the PSYFEST 2022: Autumn Escalation festival for the sixth time. Festival participants will be able to receive free anonymous consultations of qualified psychologists, psychotherapists and psychiatrists from medical institutions of the capital, take part in thematic seminars, trainings and master classes.

The topics that will be discussed at the festival relate to a variety of psychological aspects of relationships with oneself and others, said the Moscow Department of Health.

So, several seminars and master classes will be devoted to building relationships between parents and children. Another important topic will be abuse in relationships between partners. Experts will tell you how to set personal boundaries, what abuse is like, what it threatens to do, and what to do if a partner uses psychological violence against you.

In addition, participants will be able to find out whether laziness has beneficial properties, what effect social networks have on us, how to avoid stress, how to deal with anger, how to get out of conflict situations, what to do when life is in the balance. You can get answers from qualified specialists to these and many other questions at the events of the festival “PSYFEST 2022: autumn aggravation”, of which more than 60 are planned.

“Interest in the event on the part of Muscovites and guests of the city is growing. This reflects a general trend: more and more people think that mental health is no less important than physical. At the same time, a lot of unreliable information is being formed around this topic on the Internet, and “professional” advice and consultations are sometimes given by people without special education. Such psychological assistance can be harmful, especially for a person who is in a vulnerable position, said Georgy Kostyuk, chief psychiatrist of the Moscow City Health Department. — The decision to go to a psychologist is a serious step that people often put off for various reasons. We hope the festival will help the participants overcome all fears and seek competent help if they need it.”

The festival will be held at the site of the Blagosfera creative space, located at the address: 1st Botkinsky proezd, 7, building 1. The nearest metro station is Dynamo.
