A visitor to a grocery supermarket in Moscow managed to get money through the court for a damaged sheepskin coat. The man caught the sleeve of his jacket on a sharp ring sticking out of the door and demanded compensation for the damage.
As it became known to MK, the client estimated the cost of a sheepskin coat at about half a million rubles. The visitor’s arguments seemed crazy to the store employees, and then the man went to seek the truth in court.
The Chertanovsky District Court found that the sheepskin coat costs not half a million, but only a little more than a hundred thousand rubles. Given its wear and tear, all that a man could count on is compensation in the amount of even less than half of its value. However, the store did not agree to pay this money either. After all, the victim did not buy anything from them from the products, and, according to the workers, could not be considered their client.
However, the court considered otherwise, and nevertheless ordered the victim to return his money. Even the sawn eyelets, which at the time of the trial had already disappeared from the doors of the store, did not help. In addition, in addition to material damage, the judge ordered the administration to pay compensation for the moral suffering of the man.
They amounted to five thousand rubles. Also, due to the fact that the store did not want to meet the needs of its client, and brought the case to court, the store was also punished with a fine of 24,345 rubles.
