On September 9, Murmansk hosted a large-scale sports festival “Gulf Stream”. The most spectacular event was the swim across the Kola Bay.

The distance was a kilometer. The victory was won by Murmansk resident Vladislav Sapozhnikov. In a conversation with our correspondent, he said that the distance went well: the wind was very strong, but the water was comfortable.

He also noted that he was taking part in the swim for the fourth time. Last year was the most difficult for the swimmer due to his injury.

“I’m happy with today’s victory. At the moment I have my own sports club, which I opened a year ago, for this I came here and am developing swimming. I want young people to train and go in for swimming, including,” shared Vladislav Sapozhnikov.

Formerly MK in Murmansk reportedthat the athletes’ race took place at the Gulf Stream festival.
