The Republic of Sakha hosted the International Championship in Traditional Reindeer Husbandry. It was attended by more than 250 participants in Yakutia, including professionals from the Murmansk region.

The competition was attended by reindeer herders from 13 regions of Russia and guests from China, Mongolia, Greenland and Iceland. Despite worthy rivals, representatives of the Kola Arctic managed to prove themselves worthy.

18 teams fought for the title of the best in Yakutia. The teams held races on reindeer sleds and competed in jumping and throwing the lasso. This information was shared in the press service of the Ministry of Internal Policy of the Murmansk region.

Later, guests of the Republic of Sakha were shown the film “White Angel of the Tundra” and met with students of the experimental boarding school “Arktika”.
