A gymnast from the Kola Arctic became the best at the Northwestern Federal District championship in rhythmic gymnastics. The competition took place in the Murmansk Athletics Arena from February 3 to 5, the regional Ministry of Sports reported.
238 girls competed for victory. Over the course of three days, gymnasts showed their skills in working with various sports attributes: jump ropes, hoops, balls and ribbons.
An athlete from the Murmansk region won the individual program and the all-around team competition. In the “exercise without apparatus” qualification, the northerner took silver. In group exercises with hoops, the regional team of the Murmansk region-1 took first place.
The day before, polar athletes won eight medals at the Russian Luge Championship. “MK in Murmansk” wrotethat the competition took place on Sparrow Hills in Moscow.
