Murashko warned about the active spread of swine flu

Russian Minister of Health Mikhail Murashko urged to be vaccinated, including against influenza and coronavirus. He stated this during his speech at the Armenian-Russian Health Forum. Mr. Murashko drew attention to the fact that H1N1 influenza (swine flu) began to spread actively this season.
“Now, this season, the H1N1 flu has begun to spread actively, plus the rhinosincitial virus, adenovirus infection, so the preventive direction – vaccination against influenza, against covid infection, against pneumococcal infection – all this matters,” the minister said (quoted from “RIA News”). He also called for revaccination of those who were vaccinated against coronavirus more than six months ago, recalling that the Sputnik vaccine is now used intranasally.
Swine flu is the conventional name for a disease in humans and animals caused by strains of the influenza virus.
November 18 Rospotrebnadzor announced about the start of the influenza and covid season. The A(H1N1) swine flu strain, which showed significant pandemic potential during swine flu in 2009, still poses a significant public health threat, the agency said at the time.
