Murashko: the number of victims of alcohol abuse has increased in Russia

Since the beginning of the New Year holidays in Russia, the number of victims of alcohol abuse has increased. This was stated by the head of the Ministry of Health Mikhail Murashko.
As clarified in the press service of the department, it is not only about the direct harm from drinking alcohol. In a state of intoxication, people get injured and die in car accidents, in fires in private homes. Injuries are caused by careless handling of pyrotechnics.
It is noted that children also become victims of such “drunk” accidents. According to the Federal Center for Disaster Medicine of the Russian Ministry of Health, 230 people, including 19 children, were injured on the first day of the new year. 56 people died.
