The head of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation, Mikhail Murashko, said that mortality is decreasing in Russia. According to him, in comparison with 2019, mortality from cancer decreased by 4.5%, mortality from diseases of the circulatory system – by almost 10%.

“Today we have reached a sustainable trajectory of reducing mortality,” Murashko said during a specialized scientific and practical forum.

He added that taking into account this dynamics, the country is projected to increase life expectancy by an average of 1.8 years.

Interfax recalls that the national development goals of the Russian Federation stipulate that by 2030 life expectancy should be 78 years.
