Murashko announced a high incidence of ARVI and influenza in children

The Minister of Health of the Russian Federation Mikhail Murashko, during a meeting with members of the government, said that the share of influenza among SARS exceeded 50%. In addition, according to him, among the sick, a high percentage falls on school-age children.

In his statement, Murashko noted that in Russia, the share of influenza among confirmed cases of acute respiratory viral infections exceeded 50%. The minister clarified that among the cases there is a high percentage of school-age children, namely from 7 to 14 years old, which is 23%, as well as preschool children, which account for a little more than 18%.

The head of the Ministry of Health also noted that the main proportion of those infected with influenza in the Russian Federation falls on H1N1, and the disease is most severe in pregnant women, people with diabetes, and also in people over 60 years old.
