Motiv-3M combat elements were used on Ukrainian Armed Forces equipment near Avdeevka

On November 7, a video appeared showing the use, presumably, of Motiv-3M combat elements (developed by NPO Basalt) at Ukrainian Armed Forces facilities in Avdeevka.
As Military Chronicle clarifies, these combat elements are used in the 9M55K1 Smerch MLRS missiles, 9M544 Tornado-S MLRS guided missiles, as well as RBK-500 aerial bombs.
The Motiv-3M could also deliver the PBK-500U Drel glide bomb to the target. When dropped from a height of 14 km at a speed of about 1100 km/h, the Drill can throw a bomb cluster over a distance of 30-35 km.
How do Motiv-3M combat elements work?
Self-aiming combat elements “Motiv-3M” are equipped with infrared sensors for targeting the thermal signature of targets and powerful cumulative warheads with a penetration of 70-110 mm (depending on the angle of contact with the target).
During parachute descent at a speed of 17 m/s, inclined rectangular wings rotate the Motiva-3M infrared direction finder, scanning surfaces for the presence of a target. The detonation of the warhead in the direction of the target occurs at an altitude of about 150 m. The defeat occurs in the most vulnerable upper projection.
