Most Russians Didn’t Notice Shortage Of Necessary Foreign Non-Food Goods – Poll

FOM: 81% of Russians did not notice the shortage of necessary foreign non-food products

According to a survey conducted by the Public Opinion Foundation (FOM), during 2022, 81% of Russians did not encounter a lack of foreign-made non-food products or components they needed on sale.

The results of the study are published on the official website of the FOM.

According to the survey, 7% of Russians over the past year have not been able to find auto parts and consumables for the car. Another 2% of respondents experienced problems with the purchase of electronics, its components, clothes, shoes, medicines and household appliances.

It also turned out that 1% of respondents were faced with a lack of sale of foreign building materials, furniture, hygiene products, perfumes and cosmetics, as well as cars.

3% of respondents failed to assess the situation.

In addition, 81% of Russians did not encounter problems with the repair or maintenance of foreign goods last year.

At the same time, 12% noted a strong increase in prices for repairs and maintenance. Another 3% each said that it was impossible to make repairs in licensed service centers or that it was completely impossible to make repairs, as well as an increase in the repair time.

Another 1% of respondents reported other problems with the repair and service of goods manufactured abroad.

The survey was conducted on March 24-26 among 1,500 adult respondents living in 104 settlements of Russia, in 53 regions.
