Most Russians consider English the main language of world importance
[ad_1]
State Duma Speaker Vyacheslav Volodin recently named English is a dead language whose time has passed. Meanwhile, as shown by a recent VTsIOM poll, the majority of Russians (80%) still consider it the main language of world importance. He bypasses even Russian. In third place among world languages is Chinese.
It should be noted that, compared to 2018, the popularity of English as the main world language has slightly decreased (the share has fallen from 91% to 80%). The importance of other European languages also declined. The role of Chinese, on the contrary, has grown (from 40% to 48%). The share of the Russian is stable at 65%.
